Hi Amanda,

I know a reliable Handyman whom my husband and I call upon regularly to do work at our properties. He is a qualified carpenter, he can paint, decorate, tile or anything I have ever asked of him. He is known around Clapham Junction for the high standard of work and even fairer pricing. He is always doing work for both Francesca Alexander Hair Salons on Webbs Road in Clapham. His business is based on word of mouth and referral.

His name is Billy King 07814492755 or email: kingandparcel@gmail.com

Here is a link to a fabulous front door restoration project he did -

I cannot say enough about his good work!

Battersea Handyman on Webb's Rd are quite good-you just need to be VERY clear about what you need done and find out in advance how long they realistically need to do the job (I've booked them for say 3 hrs before and they haven't finished my 'list') but other than that they've always turned up on time, and done a good job, although not cheap @ £55 an hour + VAT...

I know this has come up before, and I'll search through old posts, but thought I'd post again anyway ...

Before I put the house on the market, I've a few bits and bobs of jobs which need doing (ceiling needs skimming, holes in walls from the stairgate need filling, that sort of thing). I had a builder arranged, but he's consistently not bothered to show up so I'm starting again.

Anyone got any recommendations?
