We travelled to Italy with our ten year old last week. I was so stressed about it all and then they never even asked to look at our Covid documents (at Gatwick North Terminal). Not sure if that was a one-off.

Sorry, should have mentioned above that I looked into getting a Covid recovery certificate for my boys and was advised by the NHS and a travel agent it's not possible to get for children under 12 years old.

Hi,

I have also been trying to figure this out (travelling to Italy too) and came to the conclusion that the best option is to just do a pre departure test.  You are allowed to do an Antigen test for Italy so I have just ordered mine to be done at home through expresstest.co.uk - £15 each.  I haven't used them before so fingers crossed it all works out!

Hi,

I spent hours and hours recently on the phone to 119 trying to get mine registered which was an NHS PCR result. There is no way you will get a certificate unless it was an official NHS test. They don’t issue certificates for at home lateral flow tests. The regenerative clinic (and others) now do pre departure rapid tests for £19 so probably a better option.

Covid Recovery Certificate for 7 year old

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get a Covid-19 recovery certificate for a 7 year old for travel to Italy? And is it possible to obtain this if the Covid was confirmed in a Lateral Flow but no PCR (given it wasn't required at the time)? 119 and my GP can't help.
Many thanks
