Sorry to have ruffled you - I thought we were having fun! My comments address the design and the marketing messaging, not your opinion or your commendable altruism.

Going to take your advice now and listen to the soothing voice of my golden harp.

JamTart - I really don’t understand what your problem was with my recounting my personal experience to someone else about a bit of baby kit, which I wasn’t even suggesting I would sell - I was actually offering to give it away, as I have done with all the rest of my used baby stuff.
Even though you don’t agree with my opinion, I am entitled to express one, and I was actually trying to help someone out. It was certainly not something that would have affected you or your ability to flog your old stuff that you clearly regard as inferior, as you’ve already taken money from someone for yours even though you clearly thought you were, as you put it, “conning” the person who bought it!
Very strange approach to life and I hope that you learn to deal with whatever is really upsetting you in due course. Or maybe you just love being a school gate bully.
DaisyRachel22 - sorry for this thread having been hijacked in this way. I really hope that you find a chair that is just right for your family.

I sold it because I wanted to get rid of it and someone else wanted to buy it. But now you have explained its properties I wish I had kept it as an heirloom to hand down through the generations, together with the golden harp and hen.

It’s all personal opinion, which we are all entitled to. Clearly, some people have a greater entitlement than others as they know more than everyone else 🙄
I wonder why you did sell your own Stokke chair when you couldn’t recommend it yourself

Yes, I am always tripping over new chairs, coffee tables, pianos…

This is just the marketing blurb: ‘your baby sits with the rest of the family at the table’ etc. What a con!

Your small baby in a (proper) high chair usually eats at different times to the rest of the family and hasn’t even learnt how to control their bowel movements, let alone acquire table manners.

Your large baby when big enough to sit at the table sits on a booster on a normal chair.

Oh, and a proper high chair folds up and disappears when needed, rather than hanging around centre stage like some kind of goblin throne.

I have an unpainted wooden one, very good condition and well looked after. We had many years of good service from it as it can be adjusted from a high chair to become a chair that a young child can use at the family table without having their legs dangling - promotes a good sitting position. Also, I liked to have our baby sitting at the table with the family rather than away from everyone in their own built in table - I threw my first high chair away when I realised this. It’s so much harder to observe and learn good table manners if they are sitting away from everyone else!
As for stubbing toes, yes, you will do it at least once, as you would with any new piece of furniture that suddenly arrives in your house but, once you know it’s there, you’re unlikely to keep doing it! 😂

I have two to sell, one orange and one blue. They are painted so will need some touch ups.

Hehe!Thank you! I appreciate knowing this. I have a friend also found it difficult to clean and so forth. I will definitely consider some others 😊

Ah, the clunky, expensive ugly Stokke toe-stubber! Sold ours with glee, but wish I had chopped it up and burnt it. Recommend you get something more manoeuvrable and easier to clean. And less stubby of the toes. It's awkward and heavy to move around and you have to buy all kinds of stuff to make it actually work as a baby chair, like a harness - not included; a seat cushion - not included, etc. Not sure if I mentioned the toe-stubbing.
