Apparently they want £300k a year in rent for All Bar One. Add that to £150k in rates and I suspect that it will sit empty for some time. Agree with your thoughts on buying online, but also a long needed wake up call for the landlords of Northcote Road...

Definitely. I get the online thing all the time. I retail tennis rackets. I incur the costs of buying rackets, including demonstration ones for people to try. It's galling to say the least, when I see them with the same rackets later that they bought online for 10% or so difference. The online retailer didn't offer them a free, no obligation trial did they? Extrapolate that out to high street retail and here we are.
