I have ordered from Hambledon Vineyard a few times. Always good. And it's british :)

Try The Newt in Somerset.
Beautiful hampers and a good price range

Should have added that quite a few of the deadlines for things like hampers are likely to be quite soon!

I would say that you can't go wrong with John Lewis, they have all sorts of hampers. I sent one of the hat box hampers this year! You don't say where they live but I noticed that Brindisa also do lovely hampers if you want to do something a bit different, especially if they love cheese. I am sure that they will love whatever you send.

I need to send a gift to my godparents who I am now unable to see before Christmas. I was thinking of sending a hamper. Would anyone be able to recommend a good company/brand. I was thinking more indulgent than M&S but not quite Fortnums! Does anyone send these regularly and could give me a steer on who to use.
