We have had them since the kids were born and now they’re adults they still have all their fingers and thumbs! They’re designed so that they don’t work unless they have a plug in them. They’re useful for clearing away scraps but now that we’re getting the new bins I would have thought we have less rather than more need of them.

It will probably follow the pattern of most other environmental initiatives - the vast majority will be absolutely fine but a few will be broken into by foxes and there will then be uproar about that few!

We had an Insinkerator

The Wandsworth council food waste scheme seems doomed - they should have learned from other boroughs and ensured the bins were fox proof

We've had one for many years but have more or less completely stopped using it - and why on earth would one want to put macerated food waste into the sewers just when the Council is introducing a borough wide scheme to collect and recycle it and send it to an anaerobic digester to be turned into renewable energy?

We had one of these but it died after we repeatedly managed to drop spoons into it…..

Kitchen sink incinerators?

We did a full house renovation but at the time it didn't ooccur to me to get a kitchen sink incinerator. With all of the chat about these caddies that we will soon need to have I am thinking that I might get one. Does anyone have one? Are they easy to fit? And finally, and most importantly, are they safe? Thinking of small people. If anyone could recommend a brand that would be super helpful. Many thanks for any help.
