My husband is partner at Ellis-Miller - he is currently doing another kitchen extension at a house in Clapham Junction and they have recently done an amazing school in Rutland. Anyway check them out! X

Charles Jones has worked on two different projects for us in the same house: opening up the ground floor for a new kitchen, and a loft conversion. In both cases, Charles came and listened to what we wanted, rather than telling us what to do. After making helpful suggestions about how we could improve our ideas, he then turned them into something that builders could build and made sure that the builders actually did it. We're really pleased with how it turned out; without Charles's help I'm sure we would have made some costly mistakes and not ended up with the result that we were hoping for.

His details are at http://www.charlesjones.co.uk

Check out Richard Dewhurst - Interior Architect.
He's currently doing a full 4 storey house re-furb including structural work in the Heaver Conservation area and has lots of experience in this field. He comes highly recommended and has even just finished Jenny Packham's house (wedding dress and Kate Middleton dress designer!).

You can check out some of his projects at:

Can your builder not recommend an architect? The bonus being they would have worked together before and it will in theory go more smoothly.
We did a whole house refurb last year and our builder and architect had a good relationship which made a very positive difference.

I would recommend my husband's company (of course I would). But you can take a look at the website / Facebook page, and he's got plenty of happy clients that you could speak to if you are interested. The company has offices in London and Suffolk.

Calling on the collective wisdom of NVN'ers!

I'm looking for a reasonably priced local architect to help with a planned loft conversion and kitchen extension (hardly The Shard, but to me it's a huge project!) We've got the builder we want, so just looking for an architect - if you can recommend anyone that you've worked with in the past I'd be very grateful!

Thanks!
