Connect with your community and make a difference in mental health as a Befriender!

by BatterseaBefriendingNetwork » Sat Oct 05, 2024 8:13 am

Hi! We're Battersea Befriending Network, a charity operating across the Wandsworth Borough.
Our befriending program is looking for compassionate locals to provide friendship and support to someone facing mental health challenges and isolation. Our volunteers make a real difference in someone's life by spending just a few hours each fortnight.
As a befriender, volunteers have the opportunity to:
  • Build lasting relationships
  • Learn new skills, including those sought after in the mental health, community and counselling sectors
  • Gain a sense of fulfillment and connect with others.
With our comprehensive training, supervision, and wellbeing resources, volunteers will be well-equipped to offer invaluable support.

For more information or to sign up, please contact us at volunteering@batterseabefriendingnetwork.org.uk or leave a message on 0759 990 6847 and we'll get back to you!
