The insinkerator makes a very good cup of tea and coffee, and perfect for baby bottles etc - no froth. We have had it for about 16 months and have yet to change the filter, although I think it is over due. I would never go back to a kettle.

Other good gadgets we got that I love are the bosch plate warming drawer, insinkerator waste disposal (no more smelly bins).

i have one since i fitted a new kitchen at the end of 2010.. it was a "MUST" on my list - particularly as I was expecting then and knew that a lot of bottle warming, having boiled water (cooled easily) , instant cups of tea etc... all that was coming up!

It's a very useful device and if you do your maths, in the long run, you save a lot more out of installing this feature than the power you have to pay to boil up an electric kettle each time ( and how many people do not boil a full kettle each time?!!).

Thanks for replies! Kewty I'm tempted by the insinkorator as it's about half the price (so therefore I might be able to justify the fridge I have my eye on ). How often do you need to change the filters in this area? I read on their website that the water is at 98 degrees - is this hot enough for a good cup of tea or do you get froth from it?

I love my quooker, truly. Particularly at 3am when i am warming up a bottle, or when crowds come round for tea or when i am cooking. In fact i now could not live without a quooker. When i go to my parents' house, waiting for the kettle drives me mad! Get it, you will never look back!!!

We looked into quooker when re doing our kitchen last year, and opted for insinkerator instead, and we love it.

my NCT teacher had one and raved about it...

We're thinking of getting one to help de-clutter our new kitchen however they are very expensive so want t make sure they are worth it first.I've read a few reviews that limescale can cause issues....Wandsworth is a hard water area but not sure how much limescale we have vs the areas where quookers have broken down after a year. So basically just wanted to know if anyone has one & if they've had any issues with it?
