Laurie

I've just posted info on City Sonnet and lovely relaxed places to eat at the topic Annabel mentioned above, which might be helpful to you.

Also, Bubby's Pie Co. http://bubbys.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a great place to eat with kids. In addition to the Children's Museum suggested by meeshter, there's also some lovely stores on the Upper West Side, if you end up there, for kids and mums. More info at http://newyorkkids.timeout.com/articles ... ide/2.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. West Side Kids and Roam are delightful. Then you can wander into the park and perhaps end up at the Zoo! http://www.centralparkzoo.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have a great time.

Hey I used to live in NYC and my son was born there (and I took him back there for 2 months last summer) so I do have some sense of this--what kind of place are you looking for? You can use craigslist.com for short-term sublets. In general, it depends on several things, 1) in what neighborhood you want to stay (E.g. Manhattan--central or Brooklyn-laidback--I recommend Brooklyn Heights or Prospect Park or Park Slope in Brooklyn as these are the most kid friendly areas of NYC) and 2. what kind of accommodation you want (e.g. B&Bs or hotels or apartments). March will be still cold so you will need warm clothes although that's when the weather will start to warm up. Wholefoods is the best store for all food related stuff for the child and Babies r Us stock everything you will need. mommypoppins.com has the best nyc info for families with kids. hope this helps. enjoy! best d

Hello
Me, my husband and our 1 year old are off to New York in March. Any tips for places to stay, what to take etc would be much appreciated.
Thanks
