Ladies
Thank you very much for all the recommendations, I will look into them as pain still persists. Just about to start a Pilates class do that should help. :)

I also went to see Adam Beaumont who was fantastic and treated me when I had a bad back after childbirth. He also treated my son with cranial osteopathy. He is based at Neal's Yard in the Northcote Road and is also at the Thurleigh Road Doctor's Surgery. His details are on www.osteopathy4health.co.uk

Hello,

Sorry if this late and you are now sorted but I would have to recommend the reCentre, Balham and specifically Sally Roberts there. She is a physio (she actually owns the centre as well). She treated me after the birth of my daughter. I had, had an ongoing pelvic/ back issue and had, had other physics who had managed it but Sally has actually worked with me to solve it long term. I was astounded at what she picked up on in terms of issues I have but didn't really know. I could not recommend her enough and she is great with post natal women.

I hope this helps, you should certainly check out the reCentre as a whole as I also do brilliant pilates class which has helped enormously after giving birth.

I also really recommend Pip and Emma at the Northcote Chiropratic Clinic. They are set up for pregnancy, new mothers, babies etc and put me back together after my childbirth.

Hi- I saw an NHS women's physio at St Georges Hospital who specialise in this and she was great. Referral through your GP. Otherwise, privately I'd recommend Kate Calleja who is a physio who also teaches pilates http://www.podspilates.com and sees women with your issues. I'd really recommend her if you are looking for physio plus something that can build strength again

I would really recommend Pip or Emma at Northcote Chiropractic on Northcote Rd. Amazing & very child friendly. I take mine to appointments and they have toys or put Peppa Pig on the computer for them to watch!!

Hello! I had severe back pain as a result of both my pregnancies. I was treated by Sally Roberts at reCentre in Balham and was back to normal after 2 sessions on both occassions. Sally is amazing and I was so inspired I ended up working with her! Good luck getting back to comfort.

Hi I had exactly the same after my 2 pregnancies and I tried so many osteo chiro etc. but none did the trick until I met Juliet Moss, she was amazing, with her help it all went away and I am painfree since almost a year (2nd is 16 months) SHe is on nightingale lane.
One thing that really did the trick for me are insoles that she gave me for both my boots and ballet shoes, they are not as the ones you find on the high street so ask her
Hope you get better soon

Hello Beaniegirl.
I take many of my mums (and their babies) to see the team at Clapham Osteopathic Practice. I personally use John Carr who has treated me for several years with all my aches and pains. The mums I've introduced to him have been very happy with the results. If you prefer to be treated by a woman, his partner Maria can see you too and there is another osteo partner called Elizabeth. They are very close to North Clapham Station. Unlike many osteopaths I've used in the past, they don't keep you coming back and back and back unless you need to. Good luck

Hi there, I am a personal trainer and have a client in exactly the same situation as yourself. I have been training her for almost a year and she has benefitted greatly from her sessions with me. Please contact me if you would like more information.

I had the same diagnosis after twisting my back doing up a child seat and found osteo really helped with pain management although it didn't probably speed up recovery, which just took time. I saw Philip Hartley (The Balham Osteopath) and would definitely recommend him. He also sees children and worked wonders on my little boy when he was suffering from repeated ear infections. Good luck for a speedy recovery

I had a similar problem with my 2nd child but I went to Adam Beaumont at neals yard in the northcote rd. he specialises in pregnancy & post natal. He is brilliant!

Good luck

Probably a bit far, was hoping for something local (balham/clapham/battersea) just for ease with two kids in tow, but any suggestions are welcome.
I am happy to pay, just need a really good recommendation, as really need to get this sorted out, it's making me miserable.

I had back pain for long time after gave birth to our first son. Luckily I was referred to a very good osteopath through NHS in Chelsea. He does have a private practice in Greenwich. Am not sure if it is too far for you or not.
