Part time junior research analyst (3 to 4 days per week) required for investment fund in London. Some flexibility with working from home (as long as candidate is responsive and able to perform duties) but ideally will be in the office (Mayfair) a minimum of 2 days per week.

Providing support to a research team of four in support of the fund’s trading and investment strategies. The successful candidate will undertake basic research into companies, markets, industries and other ad hoc areas of specific interest. i.e. geo-political or regulatory issues. The research will typically cover Europe, Middle East and Africa and will be equity or debt-driven.

Specific tasks will include retrieval of essential documentation, searches and analysis of news archives and identifying and cultivating external experts and consultants.

Ideal candidates would have proven research experience in a commercial context, or be able to demonstrate these skills and commercial awareness through related professional experience or study. Familiarity with relevant databases (Factiva, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters) would be a benefit but is not essential.

Please note this is not an equity analyst role and does not require CFA qualifications. Nor will it lead to an analyst role in the fund.

Please send CVs with covering letter explaining current circumstances to parttimelondonjob@yahoo.co.uk
