Hi we have just moved to london from Singapore. The Carribean is south west of Singapore. It is quite popular with Expat families. It is an easy 15min taxi ride into the centre / Orchard road etc. It is also along a big main road which has a lot of trucks and containers as it is near to the port. Another area you can consider is the east which is more residential and more peaceful. We lived in Tanjong Rhu which is about 10min taxi into the centre. Also connected by the tube and had great green park spaces which was ideal for kids playing. Hope this is helpful.

Not much help on this other than one of my best friends lives in Singapore and they have lived at the Caribbean at Keppel Bay for 4 years and love it. I've got no idea which area its in but its very popular apparently.

Good luck with the move. My husband is trying to get me to move there butnive resisted so far!

Hi

We are planning a move to Singapore in April. I can't really advise at this stage as I don't know Singapore well enough, but we are also moving out there with a family and no car! We are planning on going to Singapore at the end of this year or January without the kids to research areas. Not sure if that will be too late for you, if I come back and share the information?

Do you know anyone out there? If you fancy chatting about this some more maybe pm me?

Hello,

I've seen old posts re Singapore but none seem to have the answers I want!

We're looking at a move to Singapore in the new year. Anyone have any tips on where to live with a family and no car?

Want to avoid the over-inflated expat areas of Orchard for example.

Any pointers much appreciated.
