Hi, I have a 9 month old baby and have just returned to work 3 days a week whilst my mum, who also isn't from London, looks after my little girl.

She takes her to TPA at St Barnabas Church on Monday afternoons, but otherwise is looking to join other activities and make friends etc.

If your mother-in-law would like to meet up with my mum for coffee / walks etc then please do get in touch!

Hi there

Grandmas, dads, nannies, etc. are welcome to come to Baby Sensory classes and join in the fun!

Here's few words about what we do:

Baby Sensory provides hundreds of simple activities that are fun for babies from birth to 13 months. Our baby classes include baby activities ranging from signing to fibre optic light shows, amazing light balls, bubbles and bells; there is always something different.
What is really exciting about Baby Sensory is that it is a parent and baby group where many of the sensory materials and baby activities are unique to the programme.

Each class includes seven different activities each week and a discovery play time, during which baby can enjoy our sensory play area whilst parents have the opportunity to meet. You will be delighted when you see your baby use skills that have been learned in our newborn to 6 month classes for the first time.

Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to find out more.

Best wishes,

Kasia

Hi, I"m not aware of any specific grandparent and baby groups but my mother sometimes takes my five month old son to various classes around the Northcote Road area and finds everyone very welcoming even if she's the only 'senior' person there. She's currently been attending the TinPanAnnie classes at St Barnabas church and has met lots of nannies and mums who have been very friendly - just warn your mother in law to be prepared to sit on the floor. I know my mum's knees get rather sore!

Hey,

I had a couple of grandma's and grandpa's in my Sure Start Peeps class and I am sure she would like the story time at the various libraries? I haven't heard of a specific group but there are lots of different classes and activities she and your litle one can get invovled in. Good luck!

Hello!

I have a 10 month old baby and have to return to work soon :( and my mother-in-law will be taking over childcare responsibilities during the week.

She's not from London and doesn't know anyone, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any "grandma and baby" type groups so she can get to know some people in the area.

Thank you!!
