Re: Looking for fatty, fitness buddies!

Hey guys,

Is this happening :)

I'm going to join the fb page as well. Feel incredibly unfit and just found out my BMI is over 25. Very depressing.

I have a friend who is a fitness and nutrition specialist. I work for a charity and she supports our work and has promised me that if anyone I know wants a bespoke nutritional plan she'll do it for the special price of just £5 and each penny will go to charity directly, so as to encourage people to donate to charity.

If there is interest in the group I could ask her if she would do fitness classes/ boot camp etc for a small donation from everyone... So she would donate her expertise and time and all money donated would go directly to charity, plus we'd get a highly motivated fitness expert.

I'm sick of feeling unhealthy. I just want to feel energetic and fit. I do work full time. Don't know if you guys have been looking into weekends and also doing something with babies/kids in tow?

Take care

Hi ladies,

If it something you would like to try I would be happy to come down and do some fun boxercise style sessions. (First one free for everyone to see if you like it?)

Two of my current classes are in a ladies only gym focusing on weight loss and toning. There are a lot of larger ladies therir who would feel uncomfortable going to a 'regular' gym. It is full of all shapes and sizes and ages (64 being my eldest in the class!) The great thing about the format is that you work to your own ability... your not trying to run after everyone else down a field to keep up or feel like the slowest/biggest in the group. We have a laugh while we train and don't take ourselves too seriously though always come out knowing we have worked hard :-)

My name is Wendy and my number is 07866 175 924 if you would like to chat more.

I also work from home, I can do early morning let's say from 7.30ish if the nanny is available at least once a week to come at that time ;) I can also spare an hour or so during the day after I took my oldest one to school.

The idea of the Facebook page is great, easier to communicate there.

Please let us know the name of the group...Fatty Fitness Buddies is lovely though! ;) xx

I just pm'd you as I've put in an enquiry to a trainer. But I'd be up for anything really. Power walking definitely. I have quite severely separated abs (yes still - 3 years after giving birth to the last one!) so am a bit limited on crazy twisting etc...at the moment but am working with a great physio to try and get that gap closed. I work 4 days a week but from home so could do either an early morning (sort of 6am thing) or after school drop off 9amish. And evenings are good too. Really hope we could get this going as sounds like there are a few of us like-minded ladies. And yes, facebook group is v good idea.

Hey,

Is it worth me setting up a Facebook group so communication is easier and it's also a bit of a support group on diet and after exercise sessions?

Would love to join. I am 40 next year and need to lose 2.5 stone. I tried Zumba once, amazing! How about a personal zumba group?
Could we bring baby, have a little tiny one? Please keep in touch or send personal message.

Yeah, so pleased I got a response to the add!

NCT, thanks so much for your response but I'm personally looking to set up a group where everyone is in the same boat as opposed to joining a currently existing group where you don't know anything about anyone else. Fab for them but lot's of super skinny and super fit postnatal Mums out there!

****************************************************************************************
I was thinking options of fitness being:-

Hiring a personal trainer for a group class?
Going to the gym together and someone setting us up a plan?
Weekly power walk?

I'm also NOT a runner! I'm thinking twice weekly to start off with?

What's your preference, morning or evening? Perhaps one of each?

Would really like to get this started asap!

Any thoughts?x

I have just put a reply on out new NCT Relax and Stretch with Baby classes - baby comes along, for babies up to one year old.
Excellent for toning and getting back into shape.

Everyone is postnatal (6 weeks after birth to 1 year old) so I am sure everyone looking to get fitter and firmer, and everyone will be different shapes and sizes x
