Hi Guys , Thank you so much for the tips on training and breeders, I would only ever use a KC breeder but that doesn't Guarantee perfection ! I see so many border terriers on the common everyday so they must be great family dogs and i was hoping for some great reccomdations ,I will defiantly check out your suggestions.

I work with a number of children with special needs and although my border puppy doesn't come to work with me all the time, when she has she has been brilliant.

We got Lupin from Cherrie Gardner in High Wycombe 01494 481 490. Not sure she will have a litter now, but might know someone!

Hi there, We have a border terrier and can highly recommend getting one for you son. They are really sweet family dogs and love children.

The only issue we have, which isn't uncommon with the breed, is problems with recall. We did some puppy training in the early days but I really wish we'd kept this up for longer as we can't let our dog off the lead very often now.

I would agree with the last post that you definitely need to go through a recommended Kennel Club breeder. There are lots of people claiming to sell border terriers online, but they often have other breeds mixed in like Jack Russell who can have very different temperaments to Borders.

We got a little border from a lady who breeds & sells from Felbridge Show ground in sussex. He is very sweet.

I would try The Kennel Club- they will have a list of accredited breeders. You could also try the breed clubs, they sometimes have a puppy list.
