I asked for toys for my baby shower and donated them to a Refuge Center nearby. As it is a domestic violence shelter, they accept all good condition toys and clothing for children plus women's toiletries, clothing and tinned food. Please PM me for details (protecting confidentiality of the center). I'm very happy to accept the donations at my home on Grandison Road, and will drop them off to the shelter for you, as I plan to go regularly. Trish

The Kids Company would be delighted to receive new toys to be given as gifts at the huge Christmas lunch they host for 4,000 children.

The Wandsworth Foodbank welcomes small gifts of toys for Christmas (they suggest under £5 per gift, 'stocking filler' type presents due to a lack of space to store lots of non-food items). Gifts can be left at the various sites during opening hours. Full details here: http://wandsworth.foodbank.org.uk/

I believe hospitals (eg St George's) only accept new toys?

I asked for new unwrapped toys for my baby shower and donated them to the Gaia Refuge Center Lambeth. Trish
