[b]Our 6+ holiday classes [/b]are the perfect way for children to explore their creativity and develop a foundation of art technique, during the holidays. Focusing on a new theme over a 2 day workshop, we experiment with different materials and methods, following a step by step process. Taking inspiration from artists, animals and the world around us, these fun and explorative sessions are perfect for budding artists aged 6+ who'd like to unleash their creativity and develop skills during the holidays. Every set of classes are different, so your keen artist can join us as many times as they would like to over the holidays and create a new piece to be proud of.

 
[b]Technique Classes[/b] -This is the foundation of any art form. Our focussed technique classes offer the opportunity to build an exciting and varied portfolio. Not only will your child go home with a completed piece of artwork, but they’ll leave with a better understanding and confidence.

[b]Our 6+ Clay Sculpture classes[/b] are the perfect way for children to explore their creativity and develop drawing, designing and making skills, during the holidays. Looking at the theme's structure in 2D, we will go on to creating a three dimensional art sculpture. We will lead the children step by step through the process aiming for them to build in confidence and skill. Helping them see how to translate a 2D image into a 3D outcome.

[b]Online Classes - [/b]Join us for a full on christmas art workshop! We are going to be stepping into memory lane, talking about all our favourite things about christmas and the all important things we need around christmas time to make it as festive as possible. In this online workshop we'll be drawing, colouring and painting a christmas scene in front of the fire, with a beautiful tree, stockings hanging and presents ready to be opened. We will be doing it all together step by step starting with sketching out the scene, adding watercolour washes and finally detailing with colouring pencil. There will be areas in our work that we will be bringing in our own ideas. We will finish our festive artwork off by making a paper frame. This will then be perfect to give as a gift or if you love it so much keep it and bring it out every christmas to display.
 
[b]Drypoint Printmaking - [/b]In this workshop the children will learn how to design a print using mark making techniques and etch into a drypoint plate. As well as learn how to ink a plate and send it through our press ‘Olive’ to discover the true beauty of drypoint printmking. The children will be guided step by step through the printing process. Creating a number of beautiful prints to take home. These workshops encourage and develop new skills whilst being lots fun, and are great for portfolio builders.
 
[b]Needle Felting[/b] - The children will be guided through the process of French Needle Felting, learning how to manipulate the marino wool safely with a barbed needle, into a festive design of their choice.

[b]Lino Printmaking[/b] - What’s Lino Printing? Lino printing is a form of printmaking, where you carve into a surface block, lino. Yes, lino as in linoleum, as in the floor covering. The lino is then inked, a piece of paper placed over it, and pressure applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper. These workshops encourage and develop new skills whilst being lots fun, and are great for portfolio builders
