Dear NVN parents,
Congratulations if your child has got through to the interview stage or you are getting ahead with planning. So close to the finishing line!
As you will be aware, for the oversubscribed schools in particular, the interview is a key part of their selection process. The formats vary from school to school, however all are looking for candidates who will thrive in their school. The interview is a chance for them to learn more about your child and what makes them tick, in a short space of time.
For most children of this age, an interview environment will be uncharted territory and will naturally feel daunting. A ‘dry run’ in an unfamiliar environment will help your child overcome nerves, giving them the confidence and know-how to present their best self.
Our interviewer is the former Head of 11 Plus at a leading Prep school, with many years of experience successfully preparing students for the competitive South London schools. She continues to support our local families and is up to date with the current interview formats for Alleyn’s, Dulwich College, Emanuel, KCS, Wimbledon High and Whitgift.
An individual 1 hour interview includes:
- Positive Presentation – top tips
- How to develop answers
- Most common questions
- Stretch questions - critical thinking & hypotheticals
- Visual analysis
- Qualities to show in a group assessment
Venue: Northcote Road, SW11
Date: Sat 18th January (1 hr slots available)
