Have a look at www.waterlifeswimschool.com
They offer classes from 3 months and Tadpoles classes for those that haven't had any formal swimming experience.
They are a small company but well run and have a good following around the Balham, Earlsfield area.

You could try SW Swimming - they have classes for toddlers at Henry Cavendish school http://www.swswimschool.co.uk

Their admin is not great - however my child has been with them for 2 years and currently very happy with our instructor.

Thanks for all of those suggestions. I have done a lot of calling in the last couple of days. Availability seems to be a problem but while i mightn't be able to get into any right now, hopefully i'll be able to book ahead for a future term. I just need to wait for new classes to be added.

If anyone else has any other suggestions please do let me know. Thank you!

PS stayathomemuminsw11, sundays don't work for us either but thanks very much for flagging it.

check out Waterlife Swim School - they do classes at Alderbrook primary school, Balham - lovely small warm pool. Though think this is mostly for babies. Older toddlers/higher level they are at a school in Morden - easier than you;d think to drive to... They have lots of times, inc weekends. We did several level 6 classes and are currently trying to find a follow on...

The new leisure centre on Clapham Manor Street just off Clapham High Street also seemed to have opened last week and is offering children's swimming lessons - it looks v. impressive and has a teaching pool....

The swimming academy at the Latchmere do private swimming classes for toddlers. I am trying them out, for my 2 and a half year old, tomorrow.

I would also like my 2 yr old to start swimming lessons-she did do some baby swimming as a tiny baby but we stopped because she wasn't enjoying it after a couple of terms.

Anyway, I was looking into it, and London Baby Swim (who we went to originally) are opening a site in Wandsworth (at/near Southside I think) in April.

Beginner Toddler lessons seem to be on Sundays which isn't an option for us, but might be for you? Online it says there is one space left:

I have to say, they were lovely when we went when my daughter was a baby, but Osterley is just too far (where their original site is).

Hope that helps

Hello, I'd like to find a swim class for my 2 year old in or around SW11. I tried water babies at the latchmere but they say that as she hasn't been in their structured swim classes from young she would find their classes too difficult. Is there somewhere out there that takes novice toddlers?

Many thanks.
