Hello/ciao a tutte le mamme Italiane o amiche dell' Italia

I am Italian and I would love my son Luca (who was born in March 2009) to play with other Italian friends or speak the language generally whilst playing.

He is often with his grandparents in Italy but when he is over it would be good for us to join you. Please let me know when and where you propose meeting.

Best wishes
S

Hi Ladies
I realize this post is VERY old but we're moving to the area and my daughter is half Italian and we'd love to join an Italian playgroup if there is one happening. Please let me know adinasalehi@hotmail.com thank you!

I would also be interested. I see you are planning to have the group for 4/5/6 year olds after school. My son is only 2.10 so its a little far off now but I would be interested for the future. My husband is half Italian but hardly speaks any Italian and I would like my son to have the chance to learn so we would be starting from the basics.

Hi,
I wonder whether it is too late to reply, but.. my baby is only 5 months old and we would definitely be interested in an Italian playgroup. Currently I speak Italian to him and his father English, but I would like him to have more exposure to Italian (and ideally little Italian friends) so that he does not forget everything once he starts going to nursery.

Well that makes five of us:)
Francesca, are you still interested in organising this? I hope so!
Where were you thinking of holding the playgroup? Hopefully we can find a time/place that suits....

I would also be interested in hearing more about this. My son is 2.5 and we would like him to learn Italian as my husband is half-Italian. He unfortunately doesn't speak much Italian so my son needs to learn from someone else. I've been on the look-out for ways he can do this.

Hi there, I'm in Balham and have a 15 month old, so it's probably a bit early for us, but I would be interested so I'd really appreciate it if you could keep me informed of developments.
Thanks, Sam

Hi,
I'm near Clapham South/Balham and have a 2.5yr old that I would love to be able to join an Italian playgroup. I contemplated the Italian nursery in Stockwell but decided against it. If you want any help organising please contact me.
Thanks,
Eva

Italian Playgroup

Hi !

I am trying to organise an Italian play group and I was wondering whether there are any other Italian mums (or English mums with Italian hubbies) that would be interested?

I have been looking for a few months as I would really like my daughter to start talking in Italian a bit more. Since starting nursery she is refusing to talk in Italian to me ... :(

There are a few of these play groups in Fulham and Chelsea but nothing in SW11. It would basically be play / arts / music / cooking / movies for 4 / 5 / 6 years old kids interested in learning / chatting in Italian after school for an hour and a half.

The groups would be quite small and I have already found an Italian teacher that is available.

Or would also be interested if anyone has heard of anything similar in SW11

Thanks !
