I can also recommend David Mulligan from Chimney Sweep Services - he was friendly, professional, reliable and I'd highly recommend. He also supplies FSC wood.

I really had a great experience with David at Chimney Sweep Surrey, he lives in SW London and was so clean and gives one hour slots.

After a little checking around, I had the guys from Aardvark Sweeps round today to sweep my woodburner and an open fire. I have to say they were absolutely fabulous! They did both jobs with a minimum of fuss, removing a sack of soot from the open fire, no mess (amazing) and left both looking cleaner than when they started! I have only just moved in and had never used a stove before and they were great in explaining how it worked and how to get it to work most efficiently. Price - £49.50 for the fire and £25 for the stove.

Dear All,
Just to let you know that we are a Nunhead/Dulwich based business who have developed a fantastic reputation in our own area and would be delighted to extend our services to nappyvalley members. If you would like your chimney swept before Xmas, we do have some slots available for next week. We are members of the Institute of Chimney Sweeps, can offer advice on any issues relating to the maintenance of chimneys, fireplaces, stoves etc, we will check that the chimney pots, stack and any cowls are appropriate to your intended usage, sweep the chimney and conduct a smoke test to ensure there is an adequate draw. When this is done we will supply you with a certificate. Basic fee for this is £55. As a special offer to Nappyvalley users we can offer a 10% discount on our standard prices.

Please look on the East Dulwich Forum for the many recommendations from happy customers!

Regards

Tim and Gary at Aardvark Sweeps

I have just had mine done by Mick Binge of A1 Chimney Sweeps. It was £50 for sweeping the chimney. He also put a cowl on one pot and a cap on another. Very pleasant, efficient and punctual. His no. is 07860 263874 or 020 8777 4674.

I'd second Paul Clarke, we used him recently when we had a new fireplace installed. He comes with the recommendation of the fireplace shop in Wandsworth called Stonewoods.
