Mark 1-17 May in your diaries for the fabulous Wandsworth Fringe festival. There are a whole host of events celebrating art and culture throughout Wandsworth. See http://wandsworthartsfestival.com/2015/events for further details of what is on.

As part of the Fringe, Work and Play Scrapstore will be holding open days, helping with the Storytelling Festival on Tooting Common and running some fabulous crafty workshops.

6th May - Workshop - Paper Art - 11am-1pm*
Meet Freyja our demonstration leader and learn simple paper folding techniques to make beautiful butterflies, fans and rosettes. Don't bin those wrapping paper and wallpaper scraps - make them into art! - Embellish with recycled bling..

9th May - Storytelling Festival on Tooting Common
Add a wish to our wishing tree at Sprout Arts before the event, join in the parade to Tooting common or join us for human rangoli or 'dress a rat' on the common.

13th and 16th May - Workshop - Rangoli Birds - 11am-1pm*
St Martin's graduate Jayson will demonstrate the fundamentals of Rangoli (ancient Indian art form).Design your own Rangoli inspired Peacock using old bottle tops, fabric scraps, wire/twine/string and straws. Create a quirky piece to treasure from the most unlikely of materials!
