For eczema, skin probs etc my children see Amanda woods at park side. She does adult and children, but has been fantastic with my two. Also has appointments at Putney which can be a bit easier to get than park side where she is typically booked up for a few weeks, unless you can get a cancellation

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I highly recommend two pediatricians both practices at Chelsea West and also have private practices covered by Bupa.

1. Dr. Ed Abrahamson- He has been the head of emergency pediatrics at Chelsea West since 1995. A very thorough and experienced doctor. He has a private practice at Cromwell Hospital 020 7460 5700

2. Dr. Stefano Maccario- He also works at Chelsea West and is an expert in pediatric dermatology among others. You can see him privately at Chelsea West or he can even do home visits if necessary.0203 315 8657

Give the Portland a call. They specialise in children and women's health and are very helpful when you call them in directing you as to which of their specialists to talk to. If at a loss, Dr. Fysh (based at The Portland) is an excellent general paediatrician and if he can't help you himself, he would certainly be able to direct you to someone more appropriate after consultation. Good luck!

Private (BUPA) Paediatrician Recommendation

by Azilal10 » Fri May 29, 2015 10:06 am

Hi All

I know this question has been asked before but I am specifically looking for a Paediatrician for my 3 year old daughter who is suffering from mysterious gynaecological pain, (GP has tested for thrush and urine infection but all negative) I think it may be related to eczema as she is also suffering from a flare up of this too across other areas of her body....so need a Paediatrician who has a bit more experience in dermatology/allergens and/or gynaecology in youngsters.

By any chance can anyone recommend someone?

Many thanks
xx
