Michael Goves parents lost their business to the EU. They were fish wholesalers who when the seas were opened up to other Eu countries, found that the price of fish and the commissions and the amount of fish collapsed.

Michael (a good schoolfriend of mine, and I do go for the odd tipple
with his missus) is anti EU and that had a result.

Strange that Guy is pro-EU. Protecting local markets should bump up profits. Maybe he cares too much about the good that the SU has done for markets.

It’s probably a good time to remind ourselves quite what a disgusting and nasty piece of work Parsley Song is.

 Here’s a link to a thread where she uses ‘social housing’ as an attempted derogatory slur against me, which is absolutely remarkable. It seems PS thinks that anyone who lives in social housing is somehow inferior to her, an absolutely repellent view and I’m delighted it was called out by other decent NVN users. God knows what she thinks of renters but I’d bet she thinks you’re the dregs of society too. viewtopic.php?f=46&t=96943&hilit=snobbery&start=15

 In addition to this utterly vile snobbery, she seems fixated about my family and I have to confess I’m a little concerned. She’s mentioned my young children numerous times in posts (at least 5 times), once calling them ‘bereft’. Just out of interest does anyone on here think it’s OK for her to repeatedly mention my children? I wouldn’t dream of referring to anyone’s kids on here and if I did it would only be to parents I know well and perhaps in the context of congratulating them for something, but criticising my 3 year old little girl and calling her bereft? It isn’t just questionable behaviour, it’s sick and should not be tolerated.
 In addition to this, she’s slandered my business (thanks again to locals for sticking up for me in the face of this, while I was operating my fish box scheme), attempted to mock my employment status and actually named my partner in this thread.
  The day when PS departs to some xenophobic rural backwater where she can enjoy being neighbours with Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage, I for one, and I suspect many in Wandsworth, will rejoice in the fact there’s one less bigot in our lovely community.
Anyway, absolutely delighted that this post has been viewed 21 thousand times. If a small fraction of those people resolve not to buy Mr Forman’s smoked salmon, then that will be a huge result. Thank you all for reading, and for those despairing at the state of the country with Brexit, take heart. The Parliamentary impasse isn’t going away, it won’t allow no deal, no new PM will try and ignore Parlt, so the chances of a peoples vote are better than ever.
Just look at the enormous majority in Wandsworth for the libdems (in the image from my OP) in the Euros. If we get any kind of read across in the next GE, then Battersea could go Lib dem, as could many other seats across the country. I will shortly be distributing some Vote Lib Dem to Stop Brexit signs for your front windows. Keep fighting everyone. Remain will prevail.
