Crittall style interior doors/windows

Postby Noles » Thu Sep 26, 2019 3:01 pm

I would really love a Crittall door/window panel to divide an open plan living and dining area. However they seem to be tremendously expensive. Interior magazines/blogs etc keep referencing Crittall "Style" windows and doors which suggest that someone out there is doing something similar but not quite as expensive.  However they never list any suppliers.

Has anyone found a supplier of "Crittall Style" windows/doors or a close alternative. Alternatively if you have had Crittall ones where did you source them and could you share a rough idea of price? Is there a showroom within reasonable distance of SW London? I think there is one in Purley.

Many thanks
Emma

Quite a distance from SW London but we are using Jennyfields and they've been really helpful and reasonably priced compared to the actual Crittall brand, which are fairly extortionate.

Try Govette Windows.

We had a crittall style wall put in our living room to have a divider without blocking the light.

They were very professional and installation was top notch, and I was very happy with the quality. They were also reasonably priced.

P and P glass in Colliers Wood have just installed exterior windows and doors ... they use aluminium not steel but the style is the same... We have a house with the originals and the new ones  blend well rather than match.   Very efficient workers and we were pleased with the price.

Also don't forget building regs.

Depending on what it is dividing, it might need to be fire rated crittall which is more expensive. Govette can do them. But I remember there was a long lead time from ordering to being ready for install.

Cedar Bifold do crittall style doors as well. They used to have a showroom on Jagards Way but I don't think it's there any longer.

Hi

Yes, we do our own style of crittall style doors in both aluminium and wood. Please visit our website at http://www.cedarbifoldcompany.com for more details!

Our showroom has moved and we are now based in Earlsfield just off Garratt Lane if you wanted to pop in and see our doors.

Thanks
