Sick and non payment of fare

Postby Jay1958 » Sun Nov 27, 2022 7:59 am

Hello
I don’t know if anyone can help me
I dropped off a very drunk lady and sober gentleman in
Taybridge road on Wednesday 23rd November at 22.30pm
The Lady was sick in the back of the cab and I had to clean it all up and disinfect the cab and couldn’t work the rest of the night.
,they got out at SW11 5PS paid by card which didn’t go through (as I only found out later.)as you can imagine as I was very annoyed as the fare was £62.50 as you would appreciate it’s not fair and it may put me off taking drunk Ladies in future,as I always do as I have daughters myself and hope someone will deliver them home safely
Thanks Jay

So sorry you had to go through this.

Can I ask roughly how old the person was? As in a teenager or someone older?

Thank you.

What about putting a note through the door if you know the postcode then you should be able to look up the house number and drop them a line. As long as it is done politely I can't see that this is a problem? It doesn't sound like it was done intentionally,  I would want to pay the fare.

I agree - I would want to pay the fare at least.
On the Post Code finder there only seem to be 3 flats under that post code, so you could try
knocking on the doors. Or a polite note - maybe best not to use mail!
As you say, there was a sober man as well, it seems a bit strange. If it was the girl who tried to pay by credit card, then that would explain that. But not if it was the male?
