It used to be ok Akash about 10+ years ago but they had a change of ownership, the friendly indian staff all left, they put a huge TV screen on the back wall and food and service went way down hill.

I used to be such a good customer they even used to send me a xmas card but I haven't bothered to eat there in years unfortunately.

Even Indian Moment has gone down hill since the move to Battersea Rise and they also seem to be struggling for customers whenever I walk past.

I now cook my own curries and find I produce better results than most these 1star establishments and you know for sure what meat goes in it. Just make sure you grind your own whole spices rather than buy the cheap packets in the supermarket.

I am a home office police officer

I once raided an establishment like one of those mentioned above (to be clear:- not one mentioned above, but with low standards) looking for illegal workers

We found them sleeping in the basement kitchen around the cauldron where they cooked their grizzle

Yes ... one big cauldron full of oil and spices and heaven knows what. With little sieves full of the meat. So cheicken, lamb, and even fish cooked together.

We also saw some mice hanging in the cauldron

We took the illegals to the detention centre. That establishment was not open for a couple of days then opens again with new staff in there

Apparently, putting mice in the cauldron is considered good luck in some countries

As I say, not the above-mentioned places but my point is in London, some standards can be very low.
