Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is grown only in the Blue Mountains (not surprisingly!) on the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica, and is one of the best-known and most expensive coffees in the world. And here at Zabu we're excited to have secured a micro-lot from this seasons crop.
It has a very mild, clean and sweet flavour with subtle, fruity acidity. It is best enjoyed as a gently brewed filter or cafetiére coffee. The bean is roasted gently to a light colour to make the most of the delicate, soft flavours.
State-of-the art drum roasting
Zabu Jamaican Blue Mountain comes from the Wallenford Coffee Company, who source their beans from smallholder farmers who often have only half an acre of land each.
This coffee is so special that we roast it in our Probat roaster – a beautiful, old-fashioned roaster that links state-of-the-art technology with a classic design. The Probat uses a drum-roasting procedure with a special shovel mechanism ensuring the best possible mixing of the beans and a great coffee experience.
