Orange Buffalo, street food style chicken wings is coming to Tooting!
What started as a drunken idea between two school friends, Nick White and Mike So, during a road trip round America turned into Time Out's Best Restaurant in Shoredith and Hoxton at the 2016 Love London Awards.
Opening in Tooting this summer ( as early as June), visitors will get to try out the brand's famous New York style chicken wings and all the combinations they come in.
Plus the restaurant will be doing chicken burgers and an alternative vegan 'wing' made from cauliflower. The tasty menu offers a range of chicken dishes, some simple and others with a twist.
If you're really brave you can even try the Snake in a Basket challenge, where one extremely hot "viper" wing will be hidden among the rest.
On their current menu, one serving includes eight wings served with a side of celery and blue cheese dip, though if eight isn't enough, you can pay for up to six more wings, 50p per wing.
Sauce flavours include:
- The 'Original': a tangy version of the American classic with dutch chillies
- K-town: a savoury, spicy, and sweet combination of gochujang paste, soy, honey, and sesame seeds
- Woof Woof: including scotch bonnets, dutch chillies and some naga
- Vincent: consisting of mango pulp, dutch chilli, and scotch bonnets
- The Viper: made up of scotch bonnets, naga, and chilli extract. This one's not for the faint hearted!
All wing dishes are £8 each which keeps it simple and you can add on chips, curly fries or onion rings too for extra.
The drinks cost £1.50 or you can get root beer for £2.75, which is a snip for London.
