Get on Board 2019 takes place on Friday 21 June 2019 and runs from Kew Bridge to Richmond.
The main aim of Get on Board is to highlight the problem of plastic pollution in our waterways. But it’s also about building on the success of 2018 and creating a great community event involving residents, businesses, workers and charities both on the water and on the towpath.

Time: Briefings from 1:00 pm – on the water at 3:00 pm approx
Start: Kew Bridge
Finish: River Lane, Petersham, Richmond
Entry fee:
- Beginners – £35 inc VAT to include: event entry, 1 x subsidised training session, use of board and a drink and a snack at the finish
- Returners/Experienced SUP-ers – £25 inc VAT to include: event entry, use of board and a drink and a snack at the finish
- Experienced Boarders bringing own board – £20 inc VAT to include event entry and a drink and a snack at the finish
The route passes some of South West London’s most iconic sites including; Kew Gardens, Syon House, Isleworth Ait, Old Deer Park and of course, the stunning Richmond Riverside.
We will be collecting plastic litter – both on and off the water – along the route. Paddlers will arrive in Richmond together getting off the water at River Lane, Petersham, Richmond.
