A man has sadly died following a house fire in Battersea.
25 firefighters rushed to the scene of the blaze on Tyneham Road at around 11.40am yesterday morning (Tuesday, October 15).
The ground floor of the house was damaged by the fire and sadly, one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: "Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Tyneham Road in Battersea."The ground floor of the property was damaged by fire. Sadly one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The Brigade was called at 11.40am and the fire under control at 12.08pm. Fire crews from Clapham, Battersea, Chelsea and West Norwood fire stations attended the scene.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
