Vodafone submits 9 x 5G antenna planning application above Devas Club, Stormont Road

Postby Community Editor » Mon Jan 20, 2020 7:38 am

Vodafone has submitted a planning application to Wandsworth Council for approval of the removal of 3 existing antennas and the installation of 9 antennas on replacement support poles and 4 equipment cabinets and associated ancillary works at the Devas Club on Stormont Rd.

Naturally local residents are concerned. The 2010 Stewart Report said that mobile masts should not be placed near schools. The Devas Club is a kids club and there are two nurseries in the vicinity, plus there are concerns that the effects on local residents is as yet unknown with this new technology.

Residents in Stormont, Taybridge and Marney have already objected to the application. The deadline for comments on the application is February 7, 2020.
