Organising a street party in Lambeth

Postby Community Editor » Wed Jan 26, 2022 11:39 am

Street Parties are a wonderful tradition and a great way to get to know your neighbours and celebrate your local community.

In 2022 there will be many reasons to come together. The Platinum Jubilee, Car Free Day or just finding a day that everyone in the street can come together.

Lambeth council works with local communities to ensure that all street parties are safe and meet all the legal requirements around road closures and regulated entertainment.

This year we are offering Street Parties from June to September with the exception of August Bank Holiday weekend.

If you wish to hold a street party as part of the Platinum Jubilee then you need to apply before Monday 25th April.

We work closely with our colleagues in Highways to review all requests for Street Party Road Closures. On occasion it is not possible to accommodate a request do to the other road closures in the area on the same day and the follow on impact to the public highway. When this occurs we work with organisers to find an alternative date.

Please do read the information on this page and our Frequently Asked Questions.

Deadlines:
Street Parties taking place between28 May to 31 July – application close 25 April – APPLY HERE
6 August to 2 October – application close 27 June – APPLY HERE
