The flat is very relaxing and a nice getaway from London, whilst having all the convenience of a brilliant high street with independent shops and restaurants on your doorstep.
Family friendly and baby friendly, there are plenty of toys and games at the flat to keep the kids amused.
It’s a 5 min walk to the train station and just over 2 hours on the direct train into Clapham Junction.
Southbourne has a nice little community and it is great for local amenities with lots of outdoorsy things to do. We often come here for weekends with the kids.
We recommend:-
- the beautiful Blue Flag Southbourne beach (10 min walk away)
- Hengistbury Head for walks with wonderful views
- crabbing in Mudeford and then the lovely Avon beach
- Avon Tyrell country park for boating on the lake, archery, climbing activities and outdoor crafts
- Snowtrax with dry ski slopes and brilliant adventure playground
- Christchurch Splashpark with kids and boating on the river
- Cycling in the New Forest
- Fruit picking
- Corfe castle is a drive away but kids loved it
