Go Wild on an African Adventure with the Kids

If you want to get away with the family but want a change from package holidays by the beach, then why not try our family safari? Specially designed for families of four, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a unique break with the kids.

You’ll travel in a private vehicle, starting in Mombasa and ending in Nairobi, with the option to squeeze in a relaxing stint on the Indian Ocean coast. On arrival in Mombasa, you’ll head to Voyager Beach Resort overlooking the white sands of Nyali Beach, where you’ll spend the night before your adventure begins.

In the morning, you’ll be picked up in your private safari vehicle and embark on the most exciting drive of your life. First stop is the stunning Tsavo East National Park, before you arrive at Voi Wildlife Lodge, which has a natural waterhole teeming with wildlife and magnificent views of nearby rock formations. You’ll spend two nights here, going on game drives and, if you’re lucky, spotting the area’s famous red elephants.

When it’s time to move on, the family will pile back into your safari vehicle and head to Tsavo West National park for another thrilling game drive, finishing up at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. This beautiful residence is designed to blend in to its surroundings, and its waterhole attracts wildlife including herds of elephants and buffalo. After lunch it’s off to spot more beasts of the savannah, and maybe a trip to Mzima Springs, where the hippos will delight the children with their hilarious chuntering.

The next day will be spent exploring the region further, and who knows what majestic animals may appear? You’ll also have spare time to enjoy the lodge and its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then it’s on to Amboseli National Park in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, where you’ll stay in Ol Tukai Lodge, an incredible base for spotting elephants. You’ll spend two nights here, before heading to Nairobi for your flight home. This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime trip that will fill the whole family with marvel.
