We need ideas for the Easter Holiday!!

Postby Mimi54 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 1:19 pm

Hi there,

My boyfriend and I need to book our holiday for Easter but we don't know what to do so we'd love to have your advice!

We are going on holiday with a 14 year old girl, a 10 year old boy who are quite sporty and with a one year old baby.

We would like to go to a place:
- quite sunny;
- not too far away but we're happy to take the plane for a few hours;
- with a good health infrastructure if one of the children are unwell;
- where the big kids won't get bored;
- that we would like too (we are a little bit tired of Centre Parcs).

Any suggestions welcome! Looking forward to hearing from you!

The place: http://www.franceholidaycottage.com

Independent reviews from families who have stayed with us: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Revi ... ml#REVIEWS

Easter at les Limornieres features our traditional Easter Egg hunt for guests who wish to participate...and for those feeling too thirsty to hunt for chocolate, a glass or two of chilled local bubbly...

Also our larger Saule cottage (sleeps 5+) is available with 20% off all stays of 5 night or more (until the end of May...and yes that includes school holidays, royal weddings etc. :shock: )

Sunny blue skies are more the norm than the exception here...In April we have experienced 30 degrees centigrade too but more likely to be long sleeve t-shirt fine weather.

Stansted to Tours (TUF) or Poitiers (PIS) in one hour or Eurostar/TGV to Tours via Paris. Onward journey for these is a straighforward 60km/60 mins in a hire car.

To entertain the older children - we have bikes to borrow & many miles of quiet lanes to explore, we have adult bikes with a child seat too (for 9 months to 3 years) so you can join them too...just get them to be in charge of the route map and you are guaranteed exhausted older children ;) by your return!!

The trampoline, chickens & resident rabbit...a hit with every previous guest literally all ages...feeding, egg collecting..

Futuroscope, Zoo Beauval, & adventure parks where abseiling, climbing and zip wires keep children on the move all well within 1 hours drive.

Canoeing in local river..a great way to see the countryside from another viewpoint. Fishing...

To entertain you (all) great bistro's in all local villages for long lazy lunches, historic towns & villages with chateaux (Chateau de Rivau, Chenonceau, Clos Luce our faves with children in tow), vineyards & farmers markets which leads onto great parks for great picnics...

Tours, Poitiers - both cities small enough to wander around & big enough to provide something for everyone.

Medical provision - 2,5km to pharmacy with first aid service and two GP's one who just loves to have to use her English!!

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask, we look forward to hearing from you soon. Nicole Crawford (Owner, ChezANIA)
