All About Me!

The Exhibit, Balham, 7:45 pm, Monday 10 September. Don't miss it.

The kids are back at school - now is the time to focus on yourself, your goals, what you can achieve and how!

It may seem pretty unlikely right now but the kids will get through school, maybe go to University and maybe move out. Whatever happens it is unlikely that they are going to need you to the same extent that they do now. So now is the time to start preparing for the post children period. If you don't prepare for the next stage you may suffer from acute 'empty nest syndrome' - it often seems to happen overnight. All focus on the children and then suddenly they are gone. Sob!

This talk will help you focus on what you want to achieve over the next few years so that you are ready for the next phase. It will focus your attention on what you really want to do with your life. It isn't too late to plan a brand new you - develop a new career path, learn a new skill or even a new language.

One week today! An evening with local coach Nicola Martin focusing on relationships Mon 9 July The Exhibit Balham

Postby info@citycbt » Mon Sep 03, 2018 7:32 am

Join us for an interesting evening with local psychotherapy expert and coach, Nicola Martin focusing on relationships. Monday 9 July, 7:45 pm, The Exhibit, Balham,

Choosing a partner is one of the most important things we will ever do. The stakes are high - if we get it wrong our happiness is at risk.

Nicola explains that we all have different ways in which we relate to each other romantically. She explains what happens when our individual attachment styles are activated and what happens when we are attracted to an incompatible attachment style. She queries whether we make our romantic choices wisely or whether we allow our unconscious minds to make our choices with sometimes disastrous, painful results. She will discuss:-

· How to recognise the different attachment styles (anxious, avoidant, secure)

· Why dependency in a relationship is 'not a sin'

· Why the 'commitment phobic' are so uncomfortable with making a commitment

· How to escape a dysfunctional relationship

· How to select a successful, intimate, stable, long lasting relationship

· What it takes to develop the relationship into a happy successful partnership

Event Starts @ 7.45pm in the Studio Bar at the Exhibit in Balham. You are welcome to buy drinks downstairs and bring them up to the room

Tickets are just £5 and can be bought here: https://www.meetup.com/The-UK-CBT-Group ... 250907134/
