AM I ELIGIBLE?
If you read these pages and are still not sure whether you will be eligible for funding, or you know that you will have problems establishing proof of income, call us on 020 8767 2777.
The legal representation we provide is funded (in most cases) by the Legal Aid Agency, under the Legal Aid Scheme. To be eligible for Legal Aid, you will usually have to pass a means test, set by the Legal Aid Agency (LAA), by showing that your income and capital are within the current financial limits set by the LAA. This will involve your providing proof of income at your first appointment.
Our Debt work is funded through the Money Advice Service. There is no means test.
Our Housing Court Duty Scheme requires you to provide information about your income, but there is no means test to be eligible for the service.
There are no eligibility criteria to access our advice clinics – but they are aimed at individuals who cannot afford legal advice.
