Childrens probiotics

Postby Lho » Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:35 pm

Hello, has anyone had any experience with childrens probiotics? I'm looking for a good quality one. There's so many I'm not sure where to start.

Many thanks in advance

Morning . We have used the Bio-Kult
Brand for myself and the kids

For the kids I open a capsule and pour if over their yoghurt for example.

Hi, we’ve been using Optibac Probiotics for Babies and Children for a few years. It’s comes in a sachet and you can just pour it over food/mix in. We’ve also found them really useful when the kids have had any sort of tummy upsets. You can get these from most health food shops and even Ocado stock them.

We also use optibacs capsules. Kids are older so can swalllow the capsules...but safe to use for young kids too.
Symprove is another brand proven to reach the gut but it’s a liquid and my kids hated the taste.

Garden of Life do chewable ones. They’re not cheap but very high quality. You can buy them in Planet Organic.

Hi LHO,

Most people coming into our pharmacy go for Optibac or Biokult.

There are also excellent ones from Udos Choice, Biocare and many others.

A lot of it depends on how strong a probiotic you want, the age of your children and which form works best for them.

Feel free to give us a call or pop in and we’d be happy to advise you.

I don’t think we’re allowed to post our details on here, but you can find us by searching for Fairlee Pharmacy on google.

All the best
