Hi,

I can recommend Lisa Campbell https://lisamcampbell.wixsite.com/campbellchats - she worked with our son 4 years ago and was absolutely wonderful. Hope it helps!

We’ve used The Children’s Place for years. They have a clinic on Falcon Rd near Clapham Junction (and another on Harley St).

The NHS has really good speech and language therapists. There are also lots of talking tips. Search “talking tips” and “ECAT” on you tube.
You can get your doctor to refer your child, or the school to refer your child to the NHS speech and language therapists. If either aren’t helpful you can actually approach your boroughs Primary School advisory team through the council.
if you need a private one Mummy then ring Rozzy the owner of Marmalade Cat, Marmalade Bear etc - She has lots of nursery schools and will know which of the speech and language therapists are actually working at the moment. Good luck with it.

Hi Charlie,

I can recommend Jo Hardman. She is absolutely fantastic and everyone who I have recommended to her in the past have all come back to me singing her praises! She is a highly experienced speech and language therapist and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Her contact details are as follows:
Email: johardman@aol.com
Mobile: 07710276939

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

May I ask what the concerns are? SLTs vary depending upon the issue.

I can personally recommend Helen, and without reservation. Jackie and Juanita are also phenomenally good. Juanita is apparently the go-to for ADHD type issues, and really thorough and detailed generally, and Jackie is great across a range of concerns. I would recommend speaking to them and seeing who is available - really good people tend to have long waiting lists.

I am a Speech and Language therapist with a clinic at Clapham South.

If your child has motor speech difficulties I would highly recommend PROMPT. We specialise in this technique and in 20 years of working as a therapist I can honestly say it is the most effective way to target speech difficulties for all ages from 18 months to adults.

Our clinic has a long waiting list, but you can get more information from the PROMPT institute website.

We use this approach in conjunction with other approaches. It is a holistic approach and helps children make that shift towards optimal communication.

We usually expect to see changes within 6-8 weeks but this can sometimes happen even from just a couple of sessions depending on a child’s speech and language difficulties of course.

Good luck I’m sure you will find someone excellent to help.
