Nursery recommendation for 10 month old - Help

Postby Lindamul » Mon Mar 02, 2015 10:45 am

Help please,

I need recommendations for a full day nursery that takes babies at 10 months (and that work well with babies at this age). We live between the commons and I could commute from CJ station or clapham south so I would need them near my home or not too far from my walking route (I'm not being lazy, but as most seem to close at 6-630 I imagine I will already be under pressure to make the pick up)

I have recently had a job opportunity that would mean starting back in April for 3 days a week. I had been planning to stay at home with him for a few more months until this came up so I'm completely unprepared in my research.

I'm also looking for any advice on whether, for this young age, people found nurseries or nannies more appropriate. As he's an only child, with few baby friend opportunities, I though the nursery a few days a week might be more beneficial, but with separation anxiety at this age I'm not sure if I'm overestimating his need or stimulation rather than security. (Yes I'm a little worried he's bored hanging out with me all week, mostly in our house or walks etc). He's quite an active little boy (especially since he started crawling), but still watches me like a halk if my mum is visiting and he thinks I might pop out.

Any advice or personal experience would be great
