Clapham & Clapham Park Montessori / Montessori Infant Com.

Postby MontessoriClapham » Fri Mar 13, 2015 3:06 pm

Hello Nappy Valley,

We are new to the forum and excited to be on here after recommendations from many local mums!

We are Montessori Clapham: a group of three environments providing high standards of early years education, from years 2 to 6 and 1 to 2 respectively. We follow the principles and educational philosophy laid down by Dr Maria Montessori. Our schools are accredited by the Montessori Society (AMI UK) and last term we were visited by OFSTED and deemed "Good" in all areas. You can read our reports here:
- http://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection ... ARE/144049

- http://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection ... E/EY337464

We also have an open evening coming up this Monday: we've posted the details on the what's on section: http://www.nappyvalleynet.com/event/ope ... id=2868894

We will be happy to answer questions from prospective parents, and if any of our current or past parents would like to aid us in attaining the coveted Nappy Valley Seal of Approval, that would be wonderful!

Thank you for reading.

I would highly recommend the nursery. 2 of my children went there in the past and have recently returned. The staff are very friendly and approachable. One of my children has additional needs and they were extremely patient and encouraging with him. The environment is a great one in which to learn and there is masses of space. The children are encouraged to play independently using a variety of learning tools.

I can't rate this school enough, it is a true Montessori school, not like some who use some of the Montessori teachings. Both my children have attended and I can say they loved it and thrived! It is a very calm and wonderful environment. The teachers and Ros who runs the whole show are just amazing. They have huge garden at the back which the children just love. Go and see for yourself they have open evenings.
Thanks

I highly rate this nursery, my son loves it as do I - I can see how well he is cared for. I only wish they took younger children so that I could send my soon to be one year old there and that they were open longer and during scholastic holidays so that whilst I work they can continue going there. A massive well fine to Ros and her team.

Just to make parents aware, Clapham Park Montessori (CPM) will be holding their termly open evening on Thursday 25th June. The open evening is a chance for parents and carers to look around the Children's House, meet the CPM staff and learn about the Montessori pedagogy. All are welcome; whether you're a prospective or current parent, or just want to find out more about Montessori!

This upcoming open evening will feature a talk and presentation from CPM directress Lucia, a chance to ask the staff any questions you may have and explore the environment & materials. Drinks and nibbles will also be provided!

We hope to see many of you there.
