Hi,

We're looking for a nanny to work 3 full days a week (Mon/Wed/Fri 8-6) and 2 half days (Tue/Thur, 8-1).

It would be sole charge of our lovely 16-month old son on 3 of the days and a nanny share with an equally lovely 16-month old girl who lives across the road on Mondays and Wednesdays. We're around 5 minutes from Balham tube.

If this sounds like a job you might be interested in, please send cv and written references to carolinemogford@gmail.com

Thanks!

I'd be very interested in meeting you. This is the ad I put up so that you can see the job:

Position: Nanny

Location: Clapham, London

Accommodation: Live in

Live in: Accommodation for the live in role consists of a modern, light and quiet double bedroom with a separate w/c and share of children’s bathroom. All utility bills would be included. House is spacious with a large garden in a lovely wide and quiet family street with easy parking and 5 mins from Clapham North tube.

Start date: We are looking for someone to start from end May, but are relaxed about the start date if it is earlier or later. We are fairly flexible.

Experience required: Fluent English, 3+ years of nannying, full CRB check, experienced driver with current clean driver’s licence, in-date First Aid certificate, Working with Children police check certificate (would be a benefit), familiarity with EYF (Early Years Foundation).

References: All latest references will be thoroughly checked.

Salary Offered :
 £300 net per week
(negotiable for the right candidate)

Children/Ages: 1 boy of 9 years (attending full time boarding school from September, home every other weekend), 1 boy of 4 years (attends local day school every day), 1 girl of 2 years (attending nursery 3 mornings a week from September)

Hours: Monday to Friday

Live in: 8am - 7pm (can be a little flexible)

Family would prefer a nanny who is happy to offer 1-2 nights of weekly babysitting and is a non-smoker.

Job Description:

A very organised reliable, honest and trustworthy career nanny with good experience required with the physical ability to care for young children. We need an open, active and energetic person who is prepared to “muck-in” to family life and this position with a flexible and positive attitude. We’d like a dedicated person who is very happy looking after children.

All children follow a routine so do require a nanny that is comfortable in following this. It is of vital importance that this nanny is very organised and can act as a children's PA and look after all aspects of the children's social and school diaries and keep the parents up to date, reminded and informed about all of the children's current and upcoming activities.

The family like the children to eat home cooked food, so you will need to be confident in cooking.

Both parents are working professionals so this is a sole charge position, so you must have experience of this. Husband works from home.

The family have 10 hours of housekeeping per week from their cleaner, however some light housekeeping and cleaning required to keep the house tidy.

All nursery duties & keeping on top of all rooms used by the children.

Major Responsibilities

• Creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children

• Supervising the children’s activities at all times

• Planning and prepare nutritious home cooked meals for the children, do food and toiletries shopping for the family and occasional cooking for the whole family.

• Washing and ironing children's clothes and bedding, dressing the children, sewing on name tapes

• Placing the youngest down for a mid-day sleep

• Bath the children

• Perform housework related to child care, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, emptying dishwasher, changing children's sheets

• Teach the children good social manners and table manners

• Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors, and organise play dates

• Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, helping with homework

• Drive the children to and from activities and school

The family are happy for the nanny to arrange play dates & take the children out & about to local groups & classes.

The family do travel in the holidays to Scotland and Europe so would again appreciate a nanny who would assist them in this. There will be occasional weekend work for which you will be paid overtime.

The family travel in the summer holidays so you will be paid for 4 weeks holiday, however would prefer a nanny who is happy to take 2 weeks when they do & choose their other two weeks.

Other Benefits Include: Use of the family car, (insurance cost depending). PLEASE EMAIL ME A CV AT catriona2@mac.com
