Making the most of Open Day season

Postby adamdsouza » Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:45 am

By request from south-west London parents, Mel Ingle and I will be presenting another lunchtime webinar about school transitions: Making the most of Open Day season on Thursday 30 September at 1pm.

This fast-paced lunchtime webinar is for parents who are considering their child’s next school. Most south-west London and Surrey schools’ open days seem to come at once. We will guide you through what you need to know to make the most of school open days – before, during and after.

Who is this for? Parents with children at primary or prep school who are looking at senior school transition, or who are weighing up different schooling options for their son or daughter.

Why attend? To understand how school open days work and how you can use that information to guide your son or daughter towards the right fit senior school.

What to expect:
  1. Top tips for getting the most out of open days
  2. Lifting the bonnet – a teacher’s inside view on understanding what you see
  3. Should you take your child to open days with you?
  4. Prep before open day (research/data)
  5. Taster days, experience sessions and other add-ons after open days
This webinar is completely free. There will also be a recording available for registered parents, in case you cannot make it at the last minute.

Register for the webinar on The Commons website at https://www.thecommonslondon.com/webinars
