Hi
I've been following the news that the ISC (Independent Schools Council) are challenging the VAT on school fees law on behalf of the schools themselves.
Does anyone have any guidance as to how likely they are to succeed? My understanding is that because this is a law, and the government will run it through parliament like any other law, then there is zero chance it'll be a success.
However I can't imagine the ISC would spend time and money on something that has zero chance of success.
Not looking for a debate on whether the VAT is a good or bad thing - just if there is chance the challenge may succeed.
Thanks
