Air friers - any good?

Postby BenandJerry » Fri Sep 16, 2022 6:47 pm

These seem to be cropping up more and more and from what I read they seem to be game changers. Wondering if this is the case from anyone who has one?  I'm interested in getting one but don't want to jump in if it will just be another kitchen gadget.

We use ours a lot for cooking small batches of things in a way that makes them extremely tasty compared to microwaving and extremely energy efficient compared to the oven. anything you want crispy from salmon to chicken nuggets, or reheated that you would normally do in the oven (yesterdays leftover pizza?) works well. The possibilities go on and you save energy while you’re there. If you’re a single or a couple you might start to only use your air fryer. We are a family of four and we love ours, had it for four years now and would definitely replace if it broke.

Just 60 mins to cook a 1.8kg chicken really well ! Do homemade Maris Piper chips for 25/30 mins after and they are amazing with the juices from the Chicken yum yum yum!

Burgers take around 10 mins (turn then after 7 mins and add cheese on top then) and also come out really tasty ... Salmon also cooks really well.

Lots of possibilities ...It is another bit of kit for the kitchen though
