We're selling a lovely kids table and chairs set, in shabby chic finish of grey-painted woodwork with dark-varnished tabletop and chair seat.
This was a DIY refurbishment of a table set we were given. The set is sturdily made, it is solid wood not MDF, (in fact a friend who sawed the chair legs for us thought it was oak not pine?!)
Selling for £30, collection from Clapham Junction/ Wandsworth Common area.
(In very good refurb-ed condition; it has signs of wear on the paintwork in the form of marks rather than scratches - we painted it with a flat-sheen paint in a colour similar to Farrow and Ball Elephant's Breath and finished it with a clear lacquer; there are also some marks from the tines of a fork in the tabletop and a 2 small permanent marker scribbles). You could actually sand the paintwork parts to make it more conventionally shabby chic!
As you can guess from my detailed description, much love was put into this DIY job, so I'd love for someone else to get some use from the set! Selling as we're moving abroad.
