The NHS - owners of the Bolingbroke hospital - has recently submitted a residential planning application to Wandsworth council. They want the old hospital to be converted to flats. The NSC opposes this on the basis that it fails to address the needs of the local community. A new state funded secondary school, available to local children of all backgrounds and abilities, is urgently needed.
Wandsworth Council is inviting comments before 28th October on the NHS plans to convert the former Bolingbroke hospital to flats. It’s vital that we oppose this planning application and make clear our support for the new secondary school.
Can you therefore please take x2 mins to email the council at planningapplications@wandsworth.gov.uk, quote planning application ref 2010/4235 and a short comment that you favour the site to be used as a new secondary school in line with council UDP policy ref CS3 and CS4 and current government policy on Free Schools. If you do not want your contact details published on the council website then send your comments for publication as an attachment.
Two minutes now to email the council will make a big difference to your child's education. Take action together and the politicians take notice. To quote Shelley "Rise like lions....Ye are many, they are few".
