Desperately seeking 2 bed property in Wandsworth!

Postby Monkeymama » Fri Mar 28, 2014 9:14 am

My small family (me, husband, 2 year old daughter) have just been given 2 months notice to leave our lovely home in Wandsworth Town. We've lived here for 5 years so we're devastated to have to leave. We really want to stay in the area so looking for:
- 2 bed flat (house would be nice but unlikely!) with eat in kitchen, and small garden. Unfurnished or part furnished.
- Within walking distance of Geraldine Rd, where daughter is at nursery
To an absolute max of £1500, by end of May latest.

Please please help. If you know of anything that might work, please do let me know!

Thanks! I've registered with all the agents on Old York Rd this morning, so fingers very firmly crossed that something will come up.

In the meantime, if anyone hears of anything please please let me know.

We are looking for new tenants for our 2 bed maisonette flat off Nightingale Lane - it's on Western Lane - so equidistant from Clapham South and Balham Tubes and also Wandsworth Common overland. It is advertised on GUMTREE here is the link: http://www.gumtree.com/p/flats-houses/l ... 1048642903

Let me know if you're interested in viewing it. Our previous tenants moved out last weekend so it is available from now at £475pw.

Sorry, I should add that it is not a short walk to Geraldine Road for your daughters' nursery but it is a lovely flat and you might be able to work something out as would only be a 5minute drive or a great cycle across Wandsworth Common if you're that way inclined. I used to walk my son to the Common Ground cafe in 15mins max.

Do let me know if you're keen to see it.

Best wishes
Kat

Katskii- your apartment is indeed lovely. I am also trying to let a house at the mo and the market is slow. I believe it is particularly saturated with choice in the 2 bed market...perhaps you might want to consider reducing the rent to attract more people/ get it let. I think I am going to have to do this which really makes things tight!!
